After refusing to support partner you end in the inferior contract of 6NT so can you still bring home 12 tricks ?

After the club lead, on paper you have 1 Spade winner, 2 Hearts 3 Diamonds and 3 Clubs (9 winners) but you have blocking problems in  Clubs.

After winning the first trick you take the Spade finesse which holds. What now. ? It appears that the Spade King is onside but you still cannot get to dummy after three rounds. Therefore the only way to get to dummy and bring in 4 Spade tricks is to duck a round of Spades. At trick three, duck a round of Spades letting East in with his King. Fortunately West cannot play a third spade at this point. (Perhaps you should have cashed your second club at trick 2 ).

West gets off lead with a second club and now its plain sailing as you take 4 Spades, 2 Hearts, 3 Diamonds and 3 clubs.

If you play in the correct contract of 6♠ now you should have no problem in amassing all thirteen tricks as the trump suit will allow you access to the North hand and now declarer can play a spade finesse followed by a second high spade pinning West’s King with the Jack still intact to take care of the last trump East’s 10.. In Spades declarer will make 5 Spades, 2 Hearts, 3 Diamonds and 3 Clubs.
