For some unknown reason your partner opened an off centre 1NT playing 15-17 point No Trump. 2¨ was described as Diamonds and a Major.
With all this in mind you win the first trick and your first priority is to draw trumps and get those lovely clubs going.
You cash dummy’s top Heart and while in dummy take the club finesse. East shows out playing a high Diamond to indicate to his partner to switch to Diamonds. You take your Ace and continue to draw trumps delighted and somewhat surprised to see the trumps break 3:3.
Now you turn your attention to the reaming clubs conceding a trick to West’s King and they also eventually get the Diamond Ace. You will make 6 trumps 3 Clubs and 2 top Spades.
