The bidding was a bit off here – Why with a totally balanced 13 points should West overcall when it is mandatory to Pass with these sort of hands!! Why would South not bid Redouble with the balance of points but I suppose 1NT is my second best choice and with 19 points and two solid suits North raises to 3NT.

Now what to lead? Well most people were leading 4^th highest Heart (©2) which is absolutely futile. You are going to take no part in the downfall of this contract are you? Therefore you must TRY and FIND PARTNER-  find partner’s best suit. Partner doubled showing the unbid suits so presumably partner has Spades and that is probably declarer’s weakest suit. So at trick 1 you really should be leading the ª2 and now we take the first four tricks. Later on when declarer has to take the Club finesse it fails and the contract goes one down.
