West realises that you will want to trump Diamonds in dummy, the short hand, before drawing trumps and he tries to thwart you by switching to a trump at trick 2.

You win this in dummy and play a Diamond which East wins and now plays a club - seems he has no more trumps. You must now trump a club to get back to hand in order to trump a Diamond in dummy.

You must now establish a Heart trick and play a Heart to your Queen which West wins. He removes your last trump off the table but that is ok as you have set up a Heart winner. Cash your top Heart and your Jack chucking your last Diamond. Now its a matter of getting back to your hand to draw West's last trump. The safest way to do this it to trump a club. Now you are in your hand you draw the last trump and claim 10 tricks.

You made 4 trumps from the long hand, 2 Hearts, 1 Diamond Ruffed, 1 top Club, and two clubs ruffed, losing just 1 Heart and 2 Diamonds.

(NB Perhaps North might have made a stronger bid than just 3♠, maybe an unassuming cuebid to show a good fit and then perhaps EW would end up in 4♠)
