The secret of the defence on this hand is PATIENCE.

Firstly, you must Peter with ª10 at trick 1.

Partner will continue with a third round of trumps and declarer will have no choice but to ruff with dummy’s top Heart.

Declarer plays a second trump and of course you follow. He comes back to hand and plays a top Heart, to discover the bad trump break. You take your Queen and get off lead with a Club.  Declarer now proceeds to cash all the winning Minor suit cards and you MUST NOT RUFF IN..

Just be patient and eventually declarer will have to trump his own winning Minor suit winner as he only has trumps left and at the eleventh hour declarer will play ©10. You follow with the ♥7 and you now make your ♥9 at trick 13.

You will have made two top spades and two trumps only through patience, the main ingredient (I think) to best defence.
