Without the double, my partner should lead my suit that I first bid but with the Double I am asking partner to make an unusual lead (Lightner Double) and asking for dummy’s first bid suit ie clubs where I had a void and wanted to ruff.
However my partner was much more imaginative and long term thinking and led the Heart King . Declarer won in dummy and took a losing trump finesse and only now did he give me my first club ruff. Because of his foresight I could not get back to his hand with the Heart Queen and get another ruff. I then cashed my Diamond Ace and we got the contract two down with 1 Spade, 1Heart, 2 Club ruffs and 1 Diamond.
