When this hand was played against me on
OK Bridge declarer gave himself no chance at all when he played low from dummy
at trick one. There are three cards that beat the 9 (K
Q and 10) but only two cards that beat dummy’s Jack. Therefore it costs nothing
at all to try dummy’s Jack at trick one. Once this holds you cash your spades to
see them break and then take the Heart finesse. Although it loses the suit
breaks 3:3 and you eventually get home by way of 4 Spades, 3 Hearts and 2
Diamonds. You can also view
