You
have achieved your goal of getting partner to lead a Spade. Now it is essential
to keep communications with partner. As you have no outside entry and all your
assets are in Spades it is vital a) to duck the first spade, b) hope that
partner started with at least 2 spades c) partner has an entry.
Once you duck the Spades,
when partner gains the lead with the ©K
he will be able to play another Spade and you will obtain 5 Spade winners to set
the contract by two tricks. The principle is the same as leading (had you been
on lead with this hand) ie here you
would lead a low one to retain the Ace/King as entries so, here, you duck to
retain the Ace/King as entries. If you have an extra entry outside the suit then
the duck is only an alternative. Here it is mandatory.
