On our hand this week from Ok Bridge, unfortunately for me, I was sitting South and East, followed his partner’s defence.
The ¨J was led which I won in dummy, with East petering with the ¨9 and I tried a trump from dummy but East went straight in with the King before returning the ¨2. I won in hand and played a top trump which was taken by East . Seeing the Heart Ace in dummy he tried a Club to get to partner’s hand. West took his Ace and duly gave West a Diamond ruff before I could draw his last trump. I was somewhat surprised that more players had not found this defence.
