In order to make this hand you will have to pray that the bridge gods are with you and the Diamond Ace lies with East. However when you do a trick count assuming the finesse of the Diamond King is working you still only have 5 Spades, and 1 Diamond so you will need to generate 4 more tricks.

One will come from Clubs once you use one of your top honours to force out their Ace and likewise one from Hearts once you force out their Ace, so you need to find two more. The extra two will have to come from ruffing Diamonds TWICE. Therefore you will need trumps left in  dummy to trumps Diamonds. This means delay drawing trumps lest the trump suit breaks 3:1.

With all this in mind, win the first trick in dummy and immediately play a Diamond. East plays low and your Ace wins. Immediately play another Diamond which East wins . East gets off lead with a trump and you discover trumps breaking 2:2 so now its all over. You eventually make 5 trumps in the long hand, 1 trick in every other suit (after forcing out their Aces) and 2 Diamond ruffs.

(NB Had the trumps broken 3:1 you would still be OK as you would have one trump left in the dummy to trump a second Diamond, because you delayed drawing trumps and whoever had three trumps would not be able to over-ruff dummy's ♠8)
