My opponent played this hand to perfection.
After winning the first trick he played the trump Queen and when West followed low he used Zia's Tip If they don't Cover they haven't got and went up with the Ace, but no singleton King with East. Now there was no need to play any more trumps as using up two trumps to get out a master trump is a bad exchange rate and he left the last trump out. (He was following the Rule of One) He now Played a club from dummy and East of course played low and West won with the King. As expected West didn't have the last trump and therefore got off lead with a Heart trying to find partner's entry. Declarer won the Ace and now proceeded to cross ruff the Clubs and Hearts. With the Clubs breaking 4:3 the ♣10 became high. He now trumped the last Heart before playing the winning Club. East ruffed, took his ♠King and declarer took one more Trump.
Eventually declarer made 1 Spade, 1Heart, 2 Diamonds 3 Heart ruffs and 3 club ruffs
(NB If East had gone up with the Club Queen or if partner had played a second Spade then East would have been able to play another round of trumps cutting back on declarer's cross ruffing)
