On this hand from the Grand Master I did not excel myself and unhappily lost 10 Imps as I let 3NT through instead of taking it 4 off.
When declarer played low on the first trick, I, unwisely, decided I wanted to keep my position open and keep my AJ10 over dummy's King and I played the 9.
However this was totally wrong and I should have stood by the old Maxim Lead partner's suit. I could not actually lead partner's suit but if I had won the first trick I certainly could have done so then. Partner must have at least six Diamonds for this rebid and if I could put the 10 through at trick two then declarer doesn't see daylight.
I should have taken the first trick and switched to the Diamond Ten. We now take the first 8 tricks and declarer is four down instead of making UGH to be wise after the event.
