When this hand was played against me for some unknown reason West allowed me to make the contract.
The lead looks like a singleton and you as East must make life easy for your partner, After winning the first trick, play the Ace of clubs first to show that you started life with ACEKING.
Now play back a second round of Hearts and as expected your dear partner ruffs.
Partner plays back a club to your known King and you attempt to give partner another ruff. However declarer trumps with the Jack and partner does not over trump.
You now make 2 Clubs, 1 Heart 1 Heart ruffed and ultimately partner will get his Ace of trumps to take the contract one off, for what should have been a routine defence.
