I never fail to get surprised and when I was defending this hand much to my amazement declarer only made 11 tricks when 12 were there for the taking.

I led a passive trump and declarer won and drew trumps.

He then played on clubs and chucked Diamonds from his hand. However he could not throw enough Diamonds and in the end still had to lose 2 Red Aces.

After drawing trumps he should have played on Clubs chucking away the losing Heart from his hand.

Now he can ruff Hearts three times in his hand and produce 12 tricks from what amounts to a DUMMY REVERSAL whereby the hand with fewer trumps becomes the hand with more trumps.

Declarer’s tricks should be made up of 4 trumps (only from Short hand/dummy)  5 Clubs and 3 Heart ruffs in his hand the long hand.
