Partner has led from his bid suit and there are so many winners in dummy are you up to the task of generating 4 defensive tricks? It seems that declarer has an easy run after drawing trumps.
However, with so many clubs in dummy and you having six there is just the chance that partner is void in clubs (If he doesn’t then declarer will be taking a successful finesse against him).
You Ace the King and play the ten ready for partner to overtake to give you a ruff first. However partner plays a very telling 3 confirming with a suit preference signal he wants to ruff a club. You give him a club ruff and he now plays another Heart and declarer discards from dummy.
You must trump and WITH THE JACK a) its no cost play to trump with the Jack b) you might just be creating an uppercut in trumps for partner. As the cards lie partner does have the Queen and the uppercut has duly occurred.
You with partner’s co-operation have created 4 defensive tricks by way of 2 Hearts and 2 club ruffs for partner.
