1. Strong NT 15-17 2. One suit Diamonds and weak
Initially you have 9 winners i.e.2 Spades, 5 Hearts and 2 clubs.
You need to draw trumps and you will also need to leave two trumps on the table if the trump suit breaks badly in order to ruff 2 clubs in the short hand, dummy.
With this in mind, after winning the second trick draw two rounds of trumps.
However trumps in fact broke 2:2 and now you can claim the rest as follows:-
2 trumps (only), 2 Spades and 2 spade ruffs,, 1 Diamond ruff, 2 Clubs and 2 club ruffs and 1 established Club (eventually) losing just the first trick. Many people refer to cross trumping incorrectly. This hand is a true cross ruff.
