After winning second trick in hand with the Ace you count your winners and the total is 5 by way of 3 top trumps, and 2 top Diamonds.

If the trumps break 3:2 then you will get two more there.

If you can establish the Diamonds you will get 3/4 more bringing your total to 10

What is the the important card in dummy. You guessed it- The trump queen as it will be your entry to those diamonds once they are established.

With all this in mind, after winning the trump, play another top trump in hand. Do not draw the last trump at this stage or you will not get back to the established Diamonds later.

Now cash two top Diamonds followed by a Diamond ruff. You are pleased to see that the Diamonds broke kindly. You trump the third Diamond with the ♠9 just in case West was mucking about.

Now and only now,  you can draw the last trump. This ♠Q draws the last trump and at the same time is your entry to those established Diamonds.

You eventually made 4 trumps 2 Diamonds, 1 Diamond ruffed in the long hand and 3 established Diamonds.
