In order to make this contract you will have to keep your losers to just two.

Initially on the losers count you have 2 potential (Ace and Jack) Heart losers and and 2 potential trump losers (Ace and Queen)

One of the Heart losers will be chucked on Club Ace and the other one on dummy's Spade queen

The question is how to keep the Diamond loser to one.

You decide you want to finesse East for the missing Queen.

Therefore at trick two you will need to play a Diamond from dummy ready to finesse. Be aware how good you Diamonds are. Since you have every card down to the 7 (except the Ace and Queen), at TRICK TWO you can play the ♦7 and if needs be and the finesse is working you will be in correct hand to repeat that finesse against East.

With all this in mind play the ♦7 and let it run. Wonder of wonders, East plays low and the 7 wins when West shows out.. You now take a second finesse and lose the Ace. You will win whatever they play back and immediately draw the remaining trump Queen.

Now that trumps have gone its a matter of chucking a second heart on third round of Spades and now just conceding the Ace of Hearts

You eventually made 6 Diamonds tricks, 1 Club, 1 Heart and 3 Spades.

If you do not play that ♦7 you will not have enough entries to get back to dummy to repeat the finesse and will now go one down, unless you now guess where the ♥Queen is placed. But why have more guesses than you need?
