This hand is really all about counting winners and losers and keeping your losers to no more than three.
With the opponents cashing the Club Ace you now have 6 winners ie 2 Spades, 1 Heart 2 Diamonds and 1 Club.
On the losers front, hopefully you will have no spade losers and will be able to dump a spade on the long Diamond, 1 Heart, 1 Diamond and 1 club
Could there be any problems? Yes in Diamonds if the suit breaks 4-0 and you forget to take the safety play to keep your losers to just one in this suit. You will have to play a low Diamond to the 9 and when this awful diamond split occurs you will still be alright.
With all this in mind. after winning the second trick in hand play low heart to the Queen and then lay down the Ace and pray for doubleton King- no doubleton King. Now turn your attention to Diamonds playing low Diamond and when East plays low insert the 9 which holds. Now persevere with Diamonds and eventually throw the losing spade on 13th Diamond.
You win, 2 Spades 3 trumps, 4 Diamonds and 1 club.
