When this hand was played against on Ok Bridge, firstly the guy bid peculiarly, and then proceeded to totally misplay the hand.

After winning the club lead declarer proceeded to draw trumps I three rounds after which he lost tow Diamonds and 2 Spades when the Spades didn’t break 3:3.

Now let’s reply it correctly. Initially, you have 8 winners by way of 2 Spades, 4 Hearts and 2 Clubs. If the trumps break kindly no worse than 4:1 you get an extra trump and then you could establish a Spade winner or…………..

On the losers front you have 2 Diamonds and 1 spade and you must not therefore create an extra spade loser.

After winning the Club lead play off AK and another Spade and when you now discover the spades breaking badly (4:2) you are still able to ruff the last Spade on the table with the Jack and be able to claim your contract by way of 2 Spades, 1 Spade ruffed in the short hand, 5 Trumps and 2 clubs.
