Not wanting the auction to die I decided to open 2NT and after a Puppet Stayman sequence I repeated my Hearts and partner got the message I had six and now Passed.

After the club Ten was led you Tke stock and see you only have 3 possible losers- 1 in trumps and 2 in Spades so your contract seems to be safe.- Where will you now go for extra tricks?
Well you cannot ruff anything in the short hand dummy so your only other chance is from the Diamond suit – maybe the Diamonds will break 3-3.

If this is the case then the most important card in dumm must be the Club Ace as it will be your entry to dummy.

You therefore have to win the first trick in hand with the Kingf and immedialltye tackle trumps.

After two rounds you are delighted to see the Queen fall and can draw East’s remaining two trumps.

With the trumps now gone we turn our attention to the Diamonds and play Ace King and a third diamond trumping it in hand absolutely delighted to see the Diamonds break 3-3 and now the two diamonds in dummy are well and truly established master. Can you get there? Of course you can because you kept the Club Ace on table at trick one.

You reenter dummy with the Ace and cash he two established diamonds dumping the two spade losers.

You made 1 Spade, 6 trumps, 2 Diamonds. 2 Clubs and 2 established Diamonds. For a well played hand.
