After this lead you will need to try and cut communications between East and West.
In order to make this contract you will need to establish the Clubs. Therefore you are going to have to give the lead up twice.
Although you have two controlling cards in the led suit you still need to hold up. If you only needed to give up the lead once then there is no need to duck. Because you need to lose two tricks in clubs it is correct to duck once.
On this hand you get an added bonus when East wins the first trick, the suit is immediately blocked and now you have no further problems.
East switches to a Diamond and you should try the 10 which wins. You must now set about the Clubs and when West gets in, West respects his partner’s Diamond switch and continues Diamonds. You now get very lucky as you get a third Diamond trick (NB You would not be able to finesse the Diamonds yourself as there are no more Diamonds in dummy).
You will now make 2 Spades, 3 Hearts. 3 Diamonds and 2 clubs.
