This hand is virtually open book because East made an opening bid so you know that East has ALL the missing high cards you are looking for and that your finesses through East will work. However you can only do I Diamond finesse through East because there is only one Diamond on the table. Don’t be put off, Firslty, take your Heart finesse.  Cash your winning clubs and when you do let East in eventually he will be endplayed in his remaining Spades and Diamonds and by tricks seven he will be hard pushed to make discards and will let you make 10 if not 11 tricks.

You can also view  watch the following movie to see how the hand pans out. (You need bridgvu.exe programme  or BridgeBase programme on your machine already to view it ) and it is available free from   http://www.haroldschogger.com/videos.htm

 alternatively watch the film www.haroldschogger.com/movies2.htm
