Counting your tricks is so important on this week’s hand..
Initially you have just 1 Spade and 6 trump tricks and NEED THREE MORE
If you are careless and think the clubs will produce the extra three tricks THINK AGAIN.
You will need the King to force out their Club Ace so there will be only two club tricks to establish. So where will the 10th trick come from?
In order to get th 10th trick you will have to ruff a club in dummy the short hand before drawing trumps.
After winning the first trick immediately play Club King which forces out their Ace. They can now play trump but that will still leave you with one trump in dummy.
You play a club to the Queen and now trump with dummy’s lone ©K
And now that you have generated the 10th trick your priority will be to get back to hand by trumping a Spade and drawing the remaining trumps.
You will eventually make 6 trumps from the long hand, 1 Spade, 2 established clubs and 1 club ruffed in dummy.
