When partner leads an Ace and then switches this is usually a sign that the card partner switches to is a singleton and that he has control of the hand.
Declarer plays a trump which partner takes. He then plays a low Diamond and surprize, surprize you win this trick. Have you remembered partner switched to a Spade at trick 2. Of course, you have remembered, and you play a spade to partner who duly ruffs and cashes a second Diamond.
Your expert defence Hs resulted in the first 5 tricks by way of two top cards in each red suit and one Spade ruff.
