The lead suggests that West has led from a four card suit so with 8 tricks in the bag(4 Clubs, 3 Hearts and 1 Diamond) you need to find just one more.
Rather than relying on Hearts breaking 3-3 merely play a Spade at trick 2 and force out their Ace and they will probably cash 3 winning Diamonds and then you can take the rest.
If ¨3 is led then this could be from a 5 card suit and you should hold up until the third round. Now test the Hearts to see if they are breaking 3-3 and if they are you now have your 9th trick. If the Hearts aren’t breaking you still have the Spade option for your 9th trick.
