On our hand this week West got off to the best start and led a trump cutting back on my ability to cross trump.
In order to make this contract the Heart King must be with West.
After winning the first trick with the Spade 9 you must take the Heart finesse and then let the cross trumping begin (much to the delight of many of my students).
You will need to make all your remaining trumps in dummy separately. You have won one trump and two hearts. Now ruff a Diamond, the ruff a Heart and repeat another Diamond ruff followed by another Heart ruff and now you can claim with two high spades and 1 top club.
You will have made 3 trumps, 2 Hearts 2 Heart ruffs, 2 Diamonds ruffs and 1 top club.
