On our hand this week  your partner Doubles their 1Nt opening bid and  you need to make a decision of removing to 2] or standing the Double. I think on balance you should leave 1NT doubled in and occasionally be subjected to -180 or even -280.

However if the contract goes down you are ahead of the field.

With this in mind you decide to Pass. What to lead now? Leading your long suit has no future . if the suit became established you have no entry to enjoy it so you will "have to try and FIND PARTNER"  So you decide to lead a Major- But Which one? The opponents haven't tried to retreat to either Major so partner is marked with a major and as you only have two Hearts you decide to lead your Heart Jack.

This trick goes around to declarer's King. Declarer tries a Diamond at trick two and partner proceeds to win and cash 6 further tricks from his lovely Hearts and his AK of Spades to boot. The defence has taken the contract one off. (NB With a Club lead and declarer will have the timing to establish his Diamonds and make his contract.)
