Lead ♥7
My esteemed partner played this to perfection after escaping a club lead and two immediate losers. After winning the first trick, he played one round of trumps to his Ace in hand catering for a 4:0 trump break keeping the K10 tenace in tact in dummy. When West followed with the trump Jack he now crossed over to dummy with the ♠9 to ruff a heart in hand hoping the hearts were breaking kindly. He then drew the last trump winning on table winning with the king. He now played top Hearts delighted to see that they had in fact broken 4:3 (the favoured odds with odd number of cards out against him) and then he threw all his Clubs away. With West having overcalled 2♣ originally it seemed clear that West would have the Diamond King to make his original 2 over 1 overcall so now at trick 9 he finessed his Diamond Ten in hand pleased to see West needing to play the King to beat the Ten. Declarer was now able to claim the rest. He eventually made 4 trumps 3 Hearts, 1 established Heart 1, Heart, ruffed 2 Diamonds and 1 diamond ruffed.
