On the third round of Spades you are going to ruff BUT are you gibg to be careful with which Card you ruff with. If you retain  the §3 you might be able  to get back to dummy should you need an extra entry should the trumps break 2:2. With this in mind you trump with the §7.

You now enter dummy with the top Diamond and play the §10 to finesse East for the missing King. If he doesn’t cover you are still in correct hand to repeat the the finesses. As the cards lie East covers and you now play a second top trump which clears the trumps. (NB you can now see that  the §6 is an entry to dummy should it be needed.)

Now re-enter dummy with the  other top Diamond (no finesses here) in order to finesse Hearts. East kindly covers the Jack- maybe he shouldn’t and now its a matter of forcing out the heart King and claiming. the rest.

You win 6 clubs, 2 Diamonds and 2 Hearts.

(Had East not   covered the Jack of Hearts  you still had the §6 to get back to dummy to repeat the Heart finesse had it been necessary)

You can also play out the following hand  to see how the hand pans out. (You need bridgvu.exe programme  and it is available free from   http://www.haroldschogger.videoes.html or BridgeBase programme on your machine already to view it )
