Our hand this week is all about loss limitation and getting a better score than EW could have got by keeping your losses to a minimum..

West kicks off with a club which looks to be led from shortage and you need to go straight up with the Ace and start drawing trumps.

After the second round you discover the trumps to be split 5:! (Oh Dear!!)

However do not panic but now stop drawing trumps and wait until the trumps come to you.

Get off lead with a Club which is won by West who now plays Diamonds and you ruff the third round and play another club which is now ruffed by East- it seems that East was the one short in clubs after all and that West had led top of Nothing.

East now plays Spade which you ruff and you now get off lead  with a Spade and wait until the opposition plays to you and you will eventually make your last two trumps en passant

You will eventually make 5 trumps, and 2 Black Aces. Going one off losing just 50 when the opponents could make a part score in Diamonds (+90 or even +110) is a good exchange rate in Match Point Pairs scoring..
