This hand reminds me of comparing the two pictures- Can you see the difference in both?
With one lead, declarer is likely to make nine or t tricks but with a different lead go three down.
You know partner has both majors from his 2¨ Michaels overcall. However despite you showing preference for Spades South has happily now bid 3NT expecting a Spade lead.
Therefore, maybe, he would not be so happy with a Heart lead. With this in mi nd you decide to lead 7 (Middle card) from rubbish generally known as MUD (Middle Up Down). You hit gold and now the defenders are in the driving seat.
You will now make 4 Hearts, 1 Diamond and just two clubs. setting the contract three down.
With a spade lead declarer will prevail losing 2 Clubs, 1 Diamond and 1 Heart.
