In 3^rd seat, Non Vulnerable against Vulnerable opened 3§. Perhaps he had one of this Spades  in with his Clubs, After North’s Double I consumed even more space with a Jump to 5§. The opponents were now guessing and South took his chances and bid 5ª and because North was extra strong chanced 6ª.Should I chance a Double or not?  If it were going off I was getting a good score anyway so I just Passed.

Partner led ¨3 at trick one and when the 2 appeared from declarer it was pretty clear that this was a singleton. Cashing the Club Ace was risky in case declarer had a void. So I played back my lowest Diamond to confirm my entry was in Clubs. Partner could probably work this out as I had supported clubs during the auction but confirmation signal never hurts..

As expected he ruffed, played a cub to my Ace and I gave him another ruff.

Before declarer had drawn breath we had taken the first four tricks by way of 2 minor suit Aces and 2 Diamond ruffs. Declarer had no trouble making the rest.
