Our hand this week is all about keeping tenaces in tact and restricted choice.

Initially you have just 5 winners. If you play the Heart suit correctly there will be 2 more there and hopefully another 2 from Spades and maybe one more from Clubs.

After winning the first trick with the Ace draw one round of trumps WITH THE ACE leaving Q10 tenace in one hand and the A9 tenace in the other hand just in case the trumps were breaking 4:0. However they were breaking as both east and West follow to first round of trumps.

Now draw two more rounds of trumps ending in Hand so you canstart to draw trumps from the South hand and what should appear from East none other than the 10 and the jack wins the trick.

What do you make of this? It seems that East cannot beat the Jack and if he had started with 2 surely he would not throw the 10 when he sees the 9 in dummy . Therefore that 1o appears to be a singleton and now declarer has a position over West with AJ19 now sitting over West's remaining K54.

While in the dummy now take a club finesse trying the Jack which loses to West's Queen. West gets off lead with a club which yiu can ruff now take another Spade finesse inserting the 7 when West plays low and you win the trick.

Now give up the club to East's ce and you can now claim
