When this hand was played against me in the Eilat Bridge club by an expert he led the ♣ 4 expecting me to have a good spade stop and therefore weaker values hopefully in his long suit ie Clubs.
Unfortunately for him the expert lead does not work here. And apart from giving me a free club finesse I was able to establish a ninth trick in Hearts
The non expert lead of always leading your partner’s suit works very well here and the hand falls apart despite a combined holding of 26 points.
