                      West leads ♣8 plan your play in 4♥

Our declarer on today’s hand failed to count her tricks and what should have been a very easy hand turned sour when she managed to go one down.

Initially counting your winners, you have a total of 8 winners i.e, 2 Hearts, 4 Diamonds and 2 Clubs and all you need to do to generate the 7^th and 8^th trick is to draw trumps and hope the trumps are no worse than 4:2. On the losers front you have 2 top spades and a trump.

Just win the first trick and draw two rounds of trumps only, If they don’t wake up when they get in  and get the two top Club tricks you might be able to dump one on the established 5^th club for an overtrick
