Once the diamond is led go up with the Ace and
completely rely on clubs to dump a diamond loser the Queen, not a spade as you
already have spade shortage in the dummy. Win the first trick with dummy’s Ace. Now
cash one club just in case there is a singleton Queen about. Cash one of dummy’s
top trumps and lead a trump to hand and when trumps break 2:2 now take the club
finesse. When it works you can dump your Diamond loser on dummy’s 13th
Club. You will now just concede one Spade bringing your contract home by way of
1 Spade, 5 trumps, 1 Diamond 4 clubs and 1 Diamond ruffed in the short hand. You can also view
