Initially you have 4 top trumps, 5 top Diamonds and 1Club.
If you can ruff 3 Hearts in hand then that will generate 3 more tricks brining the total to 13 without taking the Club finesse. This however depends on Diamonds breaking kindly 2:2 (as you will need the Diamonds as entries. If one of the nasty opponents trumps your second Diamond you can still fall back on the Club finesse for the 12th trick.
With all this in mind ruff the first trick after Et covers dummy’s King with the Ace.
As you only need 3 trump ruffs in hand you can now enter dummy with a trump. You now ruff a second Heart in hand . You go over to dummy with a top Diamond carefully unblocking the ¨10
You now ruff your last Heart. You now play your carefully preserved ¨4 over to dummy’s ¨9 delighted to see both opponents following suit. You now draw the remaining 3 trumps again pleased to see them break 3:2
Now the rest are yours as you chuck all your losing Clubs on dummy’s trumps.
You eventually made with due care and attention. 4 trumps from dummy, 5 Diamonds 1 Club and 3 Heart ruffs in hand.
