The opponents lead Club Ace followed by Diamond switch. Normally leading and Ace followed by a switch suggests a singleton. However West has probably switched because he sees only one club in dummy. (NB He should know there is only 1 Club in dummy from North's splinter bid of 4§ agreeing Spades and showing a shortage in Clubs.
At trick two you now take stock - With everybody following to the Diamond you can now count 1 Spade winner, 2 Heart winners and 5 Diamond winners. You need to do some work in trumps. As you are playing Match Point Pairs every overtrick is vital. You need to draw trumps but you also need to try to only have one losers. Playing the finesse twice has a 75% chance of success and if it loses and West gets a Diamond ruff your contract will still be safe.
With this in mind you play a trump to the Jack (or10), which loses to East's King. East gets off lead with a second Diamond and you are delighted to see the suit break 2:2. You now take a second spade finesse which wins. You draw the last trump and claim the rest. You make 3 trumps, 2 Hearts 5 Diamonds and 1 club ruffed for a very good Match Point score.
