Partner dutifully leads your suit and it seems he has a doubleton because he has led the 6©
You, as a defender, take stock and endeavour to count your WINNERS in the same manner as declarer would. You have three Hearts and 1 Club. In order to defeat this contract you will have to find 2 more.
Well the Spades in dummy look ominous so no trick forthcoming from that suit.
The clubs look good and any finesses the declarer takes will be good for declarer.
Your only hope is a Club ruff and/or a trump promotion for partner.
So at trick 2 you cash your Club Ace and partner encourages you like mad with the 9 and you play a second club. However partner doesn't play a third round but continues Hearts, confirming two. The fact that partner doesn't continue Clubs suggest that he must have started with five and knows that you will be overruffed. Therefore your extra trick to defeat the contract will now have to come from a trump promotion.
You cash the third round of Hearts and play another one and at the 11th hour will come from partner's Diamond 9 because on the fourth round of Hearts declarer trumped with the 10. Even tough declarer was able to take a successful spade and Diamond finesse of your Queen you still made 2 Clubs, 3 Hearts and 1 Trump.
