I think this is really good example of OPEN BOOK at trick 1 after the lead.

At trick 1 you know that East has the Spade ace after West leads the Spade king denying the Ace.  West came in with 1.

Surely West would not overcall with only KQ10XX of Spades so at trick 1 you can safely assume that West "must have" the Heart King and taking a simple finesse against East  will not work

So at trick 1 you know West must have the Heart King because of his overcall.

To keep your trump losers to just one, you have to hope that West's Heart holding is doubleton King.

With all this in mind, after they have cashed two top trumps and switched to diamonds which you of course win in either hand play, now play Ace and a low trump and be pleased when the King falls

When you now regain the lead, draw the last trump and claim

You will lose just 2 spades and 1 trump.

You can also play out the following hand  to see how the hand pans out. (You need bridgvu.exe programme  and it is available free from   http://www.haroldschogger.com/movies.html )

alternatively watch the film of the hand being played out by going to www.haroldschogger.com/movies2.htm
