Having escaped a spade lead, can you now make 12 tricks?
After winning East's King at trick 1 play a trump pleased to see everybody following and then play a trump to dummy's Jack drawing the last trump.
Quickly play 3 top Diamond throwing 3 Hearts from hand, before conceding 1 Heart.
Now you are in a situation of a TRUE CROSS RUFF where you can trump 3 Diamonds in dummy and ruff 2 Hearts and a Spade im hand.
I say "True cross ruff" because so many people band the term around when it is not a cross ruff and one is merely ruffing soothing in the short hand.
(NB the Bidding of this hand was also bizarre with North only rebidding 3♣ which could have been passed out and then North suddenly catching up with a bid of 6♣)
