It seems you partner has decided to make an attacking lead as he thinks declarer will quickly makes lots of tricks.

You encourage the first trick. Partner continues clubs and on third round declarer ruffs. Seems partner's lead was not top of a Doubleton after all.

Declarer wins and enters dummy with a top Spade and plays a Diamond. In tempo you have to play low or you will merely allow declarer to easily make diamond tricks in the closed hand.

Declarer doesn't expect you to play low when there is a singleton in the dummy and not unreasonably declarer inserts the 10 won by your partner's Queen - seems that the 2nd person plays low recommendation works.

Partner now plays the Spade Queen on which declarer chucks a Diamond.

Declarer now plays trump Jack and East follows low while declarer wins with the Ace and then successfully finesses partner out of the Queen of trumps, followed by drawing the last trump.

Your patience is now rewarded as declarer has no more trumps and will still have to concede a top Diamond to you and a top Spade to your partner- both of you have been very patient in seeing declarer go down.
