When this hand was played against me West was very kind and let two overtricks through. He kept playing Hearts and my partner was eventually able to make 10 tricks and kept control of the trump suit.. Now let's replay with West leading a top trump. Every time West gets in, West must play a trump to stop declarer from being able to ruff two Diamonds in dummy. By continuing to play trumps declarer will eventually only be able to make 2 trumps, 3 Hearts 1 Club 1 Diamond and just one ruff only
