2 6 End

After a somewhat crazy auction you end up in 6. With a void in Diamonds and a source of tricks in Clubs, North took a chance and bid 6

Now you have to make it.

Without doing any work at all you have 2 Spade winners, 1 Heart winner and 1 Club winner- so you are going to have muster 8 more.

The bidding suggests that East has a read two suiter having passed initially. You will therefore have to rely on the club finesse and make sure you leave a trump on the table when they play a second Diamond.

With all this in mind, at tricks two you might as well take the spade finesse (you never know) and it fails. You still have a trump on the table which West quickly removes. Now draw the last trump.

You are now in the correct hand to advance the Club Queen and hold your breath, West follows low and your Queen wins. Now finesse West again and claim the rest.

You will make 4 trumps, 6 Clubs and 1 top Heart, 1 Diamond ruff (trick 1)  losing just the trump Queen.
