After South rebids 2NT to show Balanced hand with 17/18 points North bids out his shape and introduces 3ª even though he knows that South cannot have a four card Spade suit on this auction. He is doing it more to see if partner has a three card Heart suit . Since South has only two Hearts he goes back to 3NT which is the final bid.
West leads the unbid suit and you now take stock. The hand is very easy as long as you don’t get blocked and you count your winners carefully..
You have 4 Spades, 1 Heart and 2 Clubs so you need two more. Do they come from Diamonds or from Hearts? Well its easier to set up two Diamond tricks than to force out the High Heart honours and going for Hearts you could easily run into three losers to the K Q and 9 so Diamonds it must be.
After winning the first trick in dummy play a Diamond off the table towards your King Queen Jack just in case East is in hurry to take the Ace and then you will make 10 tricks.
However West has the Ace and continues with clubs and now you just safely take your 9 tricks making sure you play the King and Jack of Spades first (high card from shot hand so as not to get blocked)
