I hope you will fair better than me and most of the other defenders who let 3NT through. Seeing all those clubs on the table suggests that declarer has an easy run. However, you can control the Diamond suit and also the Spade suit so at trick one you have to play the ª9 keeping your Ace over dummy (no third hand plays high here)..
Declarer now plays two top clubs and the switches ot three top Hearts Are you awake and keeping a low Heart just in case…….
Why didn’t declarer play a third club? Declarer must have started life with a doubleton AK and cannot get to dummy.
You were awake and have kept ©4 left and cannot be endplayed.
Whatever declarer plays now he will lose 5 tricks and you were better than me when I defended. 😊
