1. 17/18 points Balanced
When this hand was originally played against me declarer made 11 tricks but should have made 12.
Normally when you have a singleton opposite an AQ suit you do not finesse and create a possible loser when you didn't have one.
Here the suit is clubs.
However if the club finesse does fail then you can still use your remaining Ace to dump a losing Diamond from hand.
Now after this initial analysis, win the first trick in hand and draw the remaining trumps in just two rounds.
Now take the club finesse which wins and then dump the Diamond loser. Now force out the Spade Ace with one of your spade honours and then claim.
You will make 2 Spades, 6 Hearts, 2 Diamonds and 2 clubs and you never put your contract in danger.
