Our problem on this hand is keeping West off lead.
Because East has overcalled we can place him for at least five Spades which
means West has only got two or even 1. Therefore if we hold up the very first trick it should
be plain sailing after that. After winning the second trick we now enter dummy with a
top Heart ready to finesse the clubs into the safe hand (West) not minding if it
loses. West wins and gets off lead with as Heart which we should win in dummy in
order to take another Club finesse. Which also loses to West. However our 87 are
now established. We will now be able to wrap up 1 Spade, 3 Hearts, 3
Diamonds and 3 Clubs, losing just two clubs and a Spade.
