Our hand this week is all about timing and throwing West in at the correct time.

From the bidding we know that West has most of the outstanding points and that there will be little mileage in leading up to the Kings in hand, expecting to finesse East for the missing Club or Heart Ace.

After winning the first trick play a second trump to discover the trumps breaking 3:1L. With such good trumps we can now turn our attention to Diamonds hoping Diamonds to be no worse than 4:2.

So we cash two  top diamonds and proceed to trump a third Diamond  now establishing dummy’s diamonds and also showing West up to only have  Clubs and Hearts left. We now draw the last trump ending in dummy. We can only cash one top We can now play just one more Diamond only. If we were to cash the last one we would be squeezing ourselves

We now play a club from dummy and when East plays low, we play the 9. Now West is well and truly endplayed and we will get out tenth trick.

West plays a top club and then Heart Ace and we are home.

We made 5 trumps, 4 Diamonds and 1 Heart after poor West got endplayed.
